When Does The Masked Dancer Season 1 Premiere?
You now have the option to make your holiday season a whole lot crazier. The Masked Dancer, Fox’s spinoff competition series from The Masked Singer producers, premieres this month. The first episode of the new series lands this Sunday, December 27 on Fox.

The first episode premieres on Fox Sunday, December 27 at 8/7c p.m. If you have cable that should be no problem. Simply turn your TV to Fox before 8 p.m. and get ready to shake your groove thing. The same applies if you have a live TV streaming option like Sling TV, YouTube TV, or Hulu + Live TV. Make sure the channel is set to Fox, and you’re golden.
If none of those options apply to you, don’t worry. You can still watch without paying an extra cent. New episodes of The Masked Dancer will be added to Tubi shortly after they premiere on TV. If you don’t already know about Tubi, you’re missing out. Fox’s streaming service has a library of 26,000 movies and shows, all of which are completely free. Who Are The Masked Dancer Judges?
It wouldn’t be a Masked Singer spinoff without Ken Jeong as a panelist. But he’s not the only competition show alum returning for this new series. Singer, dancer, choreographer, and American Idol great Paula Abdul will also be judging this new series. Rounding out the judges are actor and rapper Brian Austin Green and Ashley Tisdale of High School Musical fame. And instead of Nick Cannon, Craig Robinson will be hosting this dance off.
Who Fell on The Masked Dancer?
Even though The Masked Dancer hasn’t started yet, we already know that there’s some major drama to come. During one of the first teasers for the show Fox revealed that Cotton Candy fell while performing a daring aerial stunt. We don’t know who this celebrity is, but we do know that there are no stunt doubles in this show. Some famous person really fell and possibly hurt themselves while performing on The Masked Dancer.
Who’s on The Masked Dancer?
We have no clue who the 10 contestants are on this wild new show. But we do have some clues. According to a press release from Fox, “Between all of the celebrity competitors on the show, they’ve amassed more than 38 million albums sold worldwide, 20 Emmy Award wins, 20 Grammy Award nominations, 10 World Dancing titles, five New York Times Best-Selling Author titles, four Olympic gold medals, and three Broadway show appearances.” That’s a whole lot of talent on one stage.
