A Kentucky school teacher pinned a student to the floor and pulled his hair during a fight over his bandana-style neck gaiter, wild video shows.
The footage, captured by a fellow student at Marion C. Moore School in Louisville, shows 16-year-old Jamir Strane beneath his chemistry teacher, William Bennett, during the Monday melee.
Another student can be heard in the clip yelling for the teacher to “get the f–k off him.”
The teen then starts punching the teacher, with Bennett retaliating by yanking the student’s hair.
“Let go of him!” a female student screams.
“What the f–k is he doing?” another girl yells, according to the chaotic clip.
Eventually another adult steps in, the footage shows.
Bennett has since been reassigned to “non-instructional duties” pending an investigation into the physical altercation, Jefferson County Public Schools confirmed to The Post in a statement early Wednesday.
“This is currently a personnel matter and the investigation is ongoing,” district officials said.
Strane told WDRB that the fight erupted after the teacher took issue with his neck gaiter — and made some unnecessary racially-charged comments.
“He said, ‘You’re just going to be another black boy shot,’” Strane said. “I’m going to put it in English. He said you’re going to end up in the streets dead, in my mind, like all my friends.”
Strane added in an interview streamed on Facebook Monday that he called Bennett the N-word during the confrontation, leading the teacher to say he was racist, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported. The start of the purported exchange wasn’t caught on video.
But the teen, who said he’s been suspended for 10 days and is facing an assault charge, claimed Bennett’s alleged remarks triggered a reaction since he was wounded in a drive-by shooting last summer, WDRB reported.
“To be told that you’re just another boy that’s going to be shot dead, I could see where that could trigger his PTSD,” Strane’s mother, Erica, told the station. “Like I said, my son – he’s not a saint. He has his flaws. But again, I can understand where the PTSD was triggered.”
Strane’s mother has launched an online fundraiser for her son after she claims he “was attacked by his teacher” during the incident, which led to protests outside the school Monday after the clip surfaced on social media.
She declined to speak Tuesday, saying she was awaiting to hire an attorney.
Strane, meanwhile, wants the chemistry teacher to receive the same disciplinary consequences he’s facing, he said in the Facebook interview.
“He thinks I was a delinquent,” Strane reportedly said. “He thought I was out here in the streets.”
Nine students at the school have been victims of gun violence in the last two years, including six who have died, according an op-ed written by Moore student Latasha Newton.
