Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene gushed Saturday over a supportive phone call from former President Trump — setting off a snarky back-and-forth with fellow Republican Mitt Romney.
“I had a GREAT call with my all time favorite POTUS, President Trump!” the lightning-rod Georgia freshman tweeted.
“I’m so grateful for his support…he is 100% loyal to the people and America First,” she added.
Greene has boosted the far-right QAnon conspiracy theory and was slapped with a 12-hour temporary Twitter ban this month for questioning the results of Georgia’s Jan. 5 runoff elections.
She came under increased scrutiny this week for allegedly liking and commenting favorably on past social media posts advocating violence against Democrats.
One colleague, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), has called on Congress to expel her — and some Republicans appear to have lost patience with her rhetoric.
“Lies of a feather flock together: Marjorie Taylor Greene’s nonsense and the “big lie” of a stolen election,” Utah Sen. Mitt Romney tweeted in response to Greene’s post about her call with the former president.
Greene soon snapped back.
“Please grow a pair or a spine,” she snarked in a post directed at the GOP’s 2012 presidential standard-bearer.
